The key points of the article:

In a desert region of Xinjiang, China has installed an object that appears to be based on an airborne warning and control system (AWACS) plane used by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF).

The Chinese military probably uses the object as a dummy target for training to attack Japanese SDF aircraft with missiles,

One expert stated that both the Japanese and U.S. governments are probably aware of it, and China is purposefully showing them this as a threat.

Some are concerned that China’s military activities could affect Japan in the case of a contingency involving Taiwan.
